Hello, October.

I love October. October means cozy weather, leaves changing color, and delicious seasonal foods. And, for me, it wouldn’t be October without pumpkins! Besides cooking with pumpkin (which is my new favorite thing), visiting a pumpkin patch is a fall favorite! Il Giardino delle Zucche is by far the best pumpkin patch that I have EVER been to and it is so close to us! It was so organized, I never felt rushed, and there were so many things to do and see: picking pumpkins in a wagon; tiny decorated barns; hay bale decor; pumpkins in the lawn and hanging overhead of the walkways; pumpkin painting and carving; pumpkin flavored bread, donuts, coffee; a pumpkin house, butterfly, and tower; pumpkin pizza; and piaggio appe’s. Oh and don’t forget some of the largest pumpkins you’ll ever see! There is also a shop at the end where we bought some goodies, of course, and a separate farm area (which we didn’t have time to go in to). It was much more than we had expected!

Our roots will forever be from here, America, born and raised. Yet, life requires us to move more frequently than we care to count. Whether living stateside or abroad, you can always find us traveling somewhere. We scout out places that you only think you can dream of one day seeing and we seek out those that aren’t found in guidebooks. We then bring them to life here in our travel memos, so hopefully, one day you too can visit them or at least be able to live vicariously through us. This blog isn’t just about crossing off places from a bucket list. It’s about absorbing and learning how other cultures grow and fit into the same world that we do. Life is short and the world is big. Enjoy and get out there!
