Coastal Bus Ride

We took our first bus ride around the coastal roads back in July and it will probably be our last, haha. We braved the nauseous twists and turns for some sightseeing- from Sorrento to Praiano to the Blue Grotto. Sorrento is known for their sandal wear, so I got my first pair of handmade sandal’s! They came in a fancy drawstring bag that was then put in a fancy glittery purple bag (where they now may stay for awhile after how much we payed for them!). A simple lunch in Praiano led to a new dish: lemon tiramisu! And a silly boatsman and his bilingual antics revealed the story of the blue grotto. It was a hot and hazy day with killer views!

*** Did you know?? In Italy, it is illegal to leave your vehicle running with the air conditioning on while parked?!?!! We found this out that day when the bus driver tried to cool down the bus before we all got back on. The police confronted him and told him to turn off the vehicle or he would receive a fine of up to 400 euro!!! ***

Our roots will forever be from here, America, born and raised. Yet, life requires us to move more frequently than we care to count. Whether living stateside or abroad, you can always find us traveling somewhere. We scout out places that you only think you can dream of one day seeing and we seek out those that aren’t found in guidebooks. We then bring them to life here in our travel memos, so hopefully, one day you too can visit them or at least be able to live vicariously through us. This blog isn’t just about crossing off places from a bucket list. It’s about absorbing and learning how other cultures grow and fit into the same world that we do. Life is short and the world is big. Enjoy and get out there!
