London Baby! Part I

The amazing-ness with our guests didn’t stop after nine days in Italy. Somehow we still weren’t sick of each other, which was good, considering the fact that we had also booked a short weekend together in London, England! London was such a breath of fresh air (literally compared to Naples). So clean and beautiful. A great city to just get lost in! One day we met up with our family for tea at Buckingham Palace and walked around, and then met up again on our last day for a goodbye brunch. In-between we veered off to explore with no particular agenda. The only thing that was on our “must-see” list was a visit to Westminster Abbey. I had also bought my kid a “Mission London” book that was full of spy adventures we could discover while walking around, and that turned out to be super fun, even for us adults. We hopped on and off the “tube” (their underground) which helped lessen immensely with the amount of walking, and just bopped around to see what we could find. Even without an itinerary we saw much more than I thought we would! AND, it didn’t rain once during the day!!

Our roots will forever be from here, America, born and raised. Yet, life requires us to move more frequently than we care to count. Whether living stateside or abroad, you can always find us traveling somewhere. We scout out places that you only think you can dream of one day seeing and we seek out those that aren’t found in guidebooks. We then bring them to life here in our travel memos, so hopefully, one day you too can visit them or at least be able to live vicariously through us. This blog isn’t just about crossing off places from a bucket list. It’s about absorbing and learning how other cultures grow and fit into the same world that we do. Life is short and the world is big. Enjoy and get out there!
